Woman Arrested For Killing Baby Daddy During Argument
A young lady, Chidnma, has been reportedly arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing the father of her baby during an argument at a residence in Gbagada area of Lagos on Sunday the 24th of September, 2017.
As gathered by Punch, the victim, a young man identified as Morris Akinbule, who was a 300-level student of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, was reported to have been killed by his lover, Chidnma, with whom he had fathered a baby boy aged one year and six months.
Having been arrested by the State Police Command, Chidinma is being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for Akinbule’s death. Chidinma is, however, reportedly refusing to reveal to the police how the death of the father of her child came about.

It was gathered that Chidinma and the now deceased Akinbule had begun a romantic relationship with each other three years ago and their relationship had produced a child although they were not married.
According to a starement by the victim’s elder sister, Chidinma had paid a visit to Akinbule at his mother’s house in Gbagada at about 9 pm, Saturday, to pass the night.
It was during the night that the two allegedly had an argumentnet which turned into a fight during which Chidinma was said to have hit Akinbule’s head on a wall, causing him to slump to his death before he could receive life-saving help.
Akinbule’s sister, when giving a statement about the incident, said that Chidinma was yet to say what resulted in the argument that led to her brother’s death. She added that the family was taking precautions in the discussion of the incident with strangers for security reasons.
The final line in a statement made by the police reveals that Akinbule’s relationship with Chidinma, especially after the birth of their baby, had turned a little sour.
“The lady has been arrested and she is in Panti [SCIID]. The incident happened in our mother’s house, not on the Caleb University campus.
She came around to visit him. We have not ascertained what led to the argument. We have been trying to find out, but she is not saying the truth.
They had been together for about three years and they have a kid. She is a baby mama. The boy is one year and six months old. That was the major thing that bound them together.
We are ready to follow the case to a logical conclusion. We have been asking her what led to his death because there is no injury on his body.”
The incident’s first appearance on social media was posted by Mia Seren, who claimed to be a neighbour to the deceased.
Seren had reported that a piece of cloth had been tied around Akinbule’s neck when he was brought out of the apartment after which he was confirmed dead by doctors at the hospital where he was rushed to.
Here is some of the content of Seren’s social media post;
“He went for a party; came back around 9 pm. Chidinma was not home, so he called her to ask her where she was.
They planned to meet at one place. When they came back, they were with fast foods and they went to their room.
About 30 minutes later, we heard them fighting in the room and somebody was hitting someone’s head on the wall. Chidinma did not open the door. Later, we did not hear their voices.
About 30 minutes later, she opened the door and Morrison was seen on the floor. He was unconscious and he had an injury on his head and had a cloth tied around his neck.
We rushed him to a hospital; then the doctors said he was gone.”
