United Bank for Africa, UBA Plc, claimed the top spot as the best financial institution in two esteemed award categories at the Interswitch Awards and Gala.
The bank emerged best among other nominees in the category to bag the prize for the Fastest Growing Bank Partner. An award that is given to the bank that has the most impressive performance in the offering and handling of Verve card services, and the Payment Innovation Driver for Trade Finance.
The two award categories give validation to the United Bank for Africa’s dominance in the aspect of digital banking space.
The Interswitch award, which itself is an avenue for the recognition of innovative products and services that are being introduced by banks in recent times, targeted towards actualising quality customer satisfaction within the banking industry, is one in in the number of awards that have recently been received by UBA Plc. Others include the Finnacle Client Innovation Awards, and the Best Bank Awards won by its five subsidiaries across Africa, by The Bankers Magazine.
While receiving the award at a colorful event that was graced by a good number of attendees, the Group Head of the Consumer and Digital Banking department for United Bank for Africa Plc, Dr. Yinka Adedeji, expressed gratitude to the organisers of the award for their recognition, noting that it was a sign that UBA’s dedication to hard work and particular emphasis on the provision of quality services to customers are being acknowledged.
