First on this list is Cote d’Ivoire midfielder Yaya Toure of Manchester City with a weekly earning of 230,000 Euro’s is the highest paid African football player.
2 Odion Ighalo (200,000 Euro’s);
With an earning of 200, 000 Euro’s weekly, Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo is the second highest paid African football player and the highest paid Nigerian player.
3 Samuel Eto’o (170, 000 Euro’s);
One time world best player and Cameronian football legend, Samuel Eto’o makes the third position on the list of highest paid African players. Formerly earning 350,000 Euro’s between 2011 and 2013, while playing for Anzhi Makhachkala, he now earns 170, 000 Euro’s at Turkish side Antalyaspor.
4 John Mikel Obi ( 140,000 Euro’s);
With his move from Chelsea to Chinese super League Side in 2017, Nigerian Midfielder Mikel Obi ranks number 4 on the list of the top ten paid African players. He earns 140, 000 Euro’s weekly making him the second highest paid Nigerian player.
5 Victor Moses (110, 000 Euro’s);
Nigerian Chelsea football player moved from a 50,000 Euro’s weekly pay to 110,000 Euro’s weekly when his contract was extended in March 2017, which puts him at number 5 on the top ten highest paid African list.
6 Asamoah Gyan (100, 000 Euro’s);
Formerly earning 227,000 Euro’s, when he was at Shanghai SIPG, Asamoah Gyan was the highest paid African football player. Since his move to Turkish Side Kayserispor, he now earns 100,000 Euro’s weekly making him the sixth highest paid African football player.

Formerly Super Eagles Striker, Obafemi Martins now earns 100,000 Euro’s weekly since he started playing in the Chinese Super League Side Shanghai Sheshua in February 2016, making him the seventh highest paid African player.
8 Mohammed Salah (90,000 Euro’s);
Egyptian Liverpool player Mohamed Salah in his five-year contract with the club, earns 90,000 Euro’s weekly.
9 Sadio Mane (90,000 Euro’s);
Senegalese Liverpool player Sadio Mane earns 90,000 Euro’s weekly since his move from Southampton, making him one of the highest paid African players.
10 Kelechi Iheanacho (70, 000 Euro’s);
